The Senior Citizens Activities Network (SCAN) successfully hosted its 37th Annual Leaders of Distinction Luncheon on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at Sun Eagles Golf Club in Eatontown, NJ, raising approximately $21,000 to support its mission of combating social isolation among older adults in Monmouth and Ocean Counties.
The event brought together community leaders, sponsors, and supporters to celebrate a distinguished group of honorees whose leadership and generosity have made a lasting impact on the senior community. The luncheon featured a lively program, recognition of honorees, and a successful gift auction that contributed to the day’s fundraising total.
“We are incredibly grateful for the outpouring of support from our sponsors, attendees, and community partners,” said Mike Ciavolino, Executive Director of SCAN. “These funds will directly support programs that keep our seniors active, engaged, and connected—because no one should have to age alone.”
The event’s success was made possible in large part by the generosity of its signature sponsor, Stillwell-Hansen.
“Supporting SCAN is truly meaningful to me because of the vital role it plays in enhancing the lives of seniors in our community,” said Carol Stillwell, President & CEO of Stillwell-Hansen. “SCAN creates connection, purpose, and dignity for older adults, and I am proud to continue supporting its important work.”
Funds raised from the luncheon will help SCAN continue to offer educational programs, wellness classes, and social opportunities that enrich the lives of more than 500 seniors annually.
