EATONTOWN, NJ – The Senior Citizens Activities Network (SCAN), New Jersey’s premier nonprofit for people fifty-five and older, is excited to announce a Lunch & Learn Event for seniors. The Lunch & Learn will be held on Wednesday, February 21 from 11am to 1pm at St. Andrew United Methodist Church, 1528 Church Rd., Toms River, NJ. The event is free and open to the public.
The event will begin at 10:30am with registration, complimentary beverages and snacks and visiting time with the event vendors. Attendees will hear short presentations on health & wellness topics from Beacon of Life, a program of all-inclusive care for the elderly; and Crest Pointe Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, followed by a delicious lunch courtesy of Willow Springs Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center.
“SCAN’s Lunch & Learn Events provide a unique opportunity to seniors for socialization, while they learn about community resources and receive valuable tips and best practices to stay healthy, active and connected,” said Mike Ciavolino, Executive Director of SCAN. “These events allow seniors to meet others and learn in a low-key atmosphere while they enjoy a delicious free lunch.”
Attendees are also asked to please bring a non-perishable food item donation for the St. Andrew Food Pantry.
